As the proud owner of a less than powerful Blog and Multi tasking website I am just curious as I can be about how long it would take to get 1,000 back links or track backs. So I have created a benign little script that can be placed on your webpage in a nice quiet corner. Our goal is to see how long it takes and which reaches the goal first.
If you are up for a challenge, post the script below, drop me a note to the page you placed it and Cc it along to 5 other people. (I absolutely guarantee I will not retain ANY e-mail address that is sent to me for this project unless the sender provides alternate instructions.) If normal catering rules apply, we can expect a 30% participation of the persons this is presented to, which at this point is around 5 regulars viewing my blog. So it will take 19 turns to get us to the 1,000 mark. If we give each volly 2 days to participate it should only take 40 days to hit the goal. Just missing halloween.
I thought of skipping the email notes, but to wait for the web crawlers to find everyone could take months and will not be nearly as accurate as simple email.
